We have had more than 30 responses from members to our call for feedback about the Copyright Issues Paper. They have come from public libraries, school libraries, information professionals in special libraries, students and others, all of whom are concerned about the possible implications of new legislation.

These responses have not been one-liners. They are based on serious thought and reflection, and indicate how much weight our members attach to copyright law.

We are feeding into the Australian Libraries Copyright Council submission, as well as preparing our own, allied response.

Please keep your comments and examples coming – email Helen Roberts, copyright@alia.org.au. In your email, please let us know if you are happy for us to share your thoughts and experiences with the ALCC and with fellow members via our wiki. We can remove identifying details if you prefer to remain anonymous.
